Fantastic new library facilities in York
I am very pleased to announce that the York Explore Library Learning Centre re-opened on the 24th May 2010.
This great 21st century world class public library facility showcases how public libraries continue to innovate and evolve to be relevant and beneficial to users. It boasts a quiet room, a cafe and new self-service machines, freeing staff to engage with the public as well as a new flexible ICT learning centre with wi-fi internet access throughout.
I think you’ll agree that we need to see more library facilities like this across the UK to enable every member of the community to be inspired – to fulfil their love of reading, learn and meet their neighbours. SCL continues to advocate for the continued investment and improvement of public library services, of which, York Library Learning Centre is a great example.
