High Speed Broadband in Libraries

This week the MLA announced that public libraries can now have greater access to high speed broadband via JANET education and research network, ten times faster than what most libraries in England have now. I endorsed this announcement on behalf of SCL because libraries must continue to innovate and respond to the ways that the public wants to access knowledge and information. Connection speeds are essential to how people use the internet.  More information here: http://www.egovmonitor.com/node/31717
