Libraries on the agenda at the conservative party conference
Burning the midnight oil for libraries...
It’s 21.39pm and we are sitting round the table in an apartment hotel in Manchester planning our breakfast briefing at the conservative party conference. This is our second party conference, in March we were in Harrogate at the Liberal Democrat Conference developing our advocacy for continous improvement in public libararies on behalf of local people.
We successfully negotiated the secure zone in Manchester and obtained our passes – after a series of security checks and interviews. Its a very exciting city with lots happening.
After breakfast we are heading to Bristol for the Public Libraries Authorities Conference
